Become a NEW Patient Today

The first step to becoming a patient is to attend one of The NEW Program free Information Seminars or Webnairs. Monthly information seminars are held in The NEW Program's Corporate medical offices  in Newport Beach, CA or at Community Hospital of Long Beach, CA.  Participating in informative session on surgical weight loss gives you the opportunity to meet our bariatric surgeons, (Dr. Brian Quebbemann and Dr. Justin Braverman) and learn more about weight loss surgery and The NEW Program at Community Hospital of Long Beach.   It is imperative that you get the facts! Not all programs are equal.  Understand what questions need to be asked and answered before you proceed with your surgical weigh loss procedure.

Why the NEW Program?

  • Focused expertise - surgical weight loss is all we do!
  • Experience of bariatric surgeons (All larascopic surgical weight procedures)
  • Safety of our program (ask for our statistics)
  • Comprehensive program for long term weight loss success -Lifestyle Management Program

To reserve a seat at our next Information Seminar, call our Bariatric Program Coordinator at 800.964.0525. We can give you more information and register you for the seminar. We can also inform you of the next Webnair should you live out of the area. Learn about weight loss procedures at home

After you’ve determined that you are indeed ready for surgery, you’ll need to have your initial pre-op consults.  Pre-op education and consultations are done every Wednesday at The NEW Program Corporate Medical Offices at 3701 Birch Street, Suite 200, Newport Beach, CA 90720.

You’ll need to reserve about 5 hours to complete the comprehensive consultations.  Your pre-operative consultation day consists of an education program given by our surgeons in the morning, followed by initial consults with out psychiatrist, nutritionist and surgeon.  You’ll also meet with our surgery scheduler at that time*.  Patients safety is our number one concern.  We have a multidiscpilinary team who are medical, surgical and support professionals who are expert in bariatric medicine.

After your consultations, you will need to have some laboratory work done.  The laboratory work will be done off site and the results will be sent to The NEW Program.

The next step is to come back to The NEW Program Corporate Medical Office and have your final pre-op appointment with one of the Internists to be sure you are healthy and safe for surgery.  Once that has been determined, you are ready for surgery!

“I am a sixty-one year old woman who is excited about my life and
all that is to come in the future.”

If you live outside the state or out of the immediate Orange and Los Angeles Counties, we have special arrangements with hotels and transportation companies.  (view our arrangements with hotels and transportation )

*The Registration Packet must be completed and returned to The N.E.W. Program before your consult day.   (Please be sure to review Am I a Candidate for more information.)
